Pyramex Hard Hats for Industrial and Construction Use

Alliance Safety Inc. stocks the full line of Pyramex hard hats for crews working in construction, oil and gas, utilities, manufacturing, and municipal maintenance. Whether you need a lightweight cap style for daily wear or a Type II full brim rated for lateral impact, we can match the right shell, suspension, and class rating to the hazards on your site. We ship nationwide from our Aurora, Colorado warehouse and support contractors across the Front Range with same-week fulfillment on stocked items.

Pyramex Ridgeline Hard Hats

The Ridgeline series is Pyramex's flagship head protection platform and the line most of our customers standardize on. Ridgeline shells are available in cap style and full brim configurations, with a four-point or six-point ratchet suspension that adjusts without removing the hat. The six-point option spreads load more evenly across the head, which makes a noticeable difference on ten-hour shifts. Ridgeline models also come in hydro-dipped graphic patterns and high-visibility colors, so you can separate crews, trades, or visitors at a glance. Our guide to Pyramex hard hats walks through the differences in more detail.

Vented and Non-Vented Options

Vented hard hats move air across the top of the head and are the better choice for hot-weather outdoor work with no electrical exposure. Because the shell is perforated, vented models carry a Class C rating and offer no dielectric protection. Non-vented shells are solid and can be rated Class E, tested to withstand up to 20,000 volts, which is what you need anywhere workers can contact energized conductors. If your crews move between both environments, we recommend spec'ing non-vented Class E across the board rather than relying on field-level sorting.

Type I and Type II Impact Protection

Type I hard hats are designed to reduce force from a blow to the top of the head — the classic falling-object hazard. Type II hard hats add lateral impact protection at the front, back, and sides, which matters for work near moving equipment, at height where a fall could cause a side strike, or in confined spaces with fixed obstructions. Pyramex offers Type II models built with an internal foam liner that absorbs off-axis impact without adding significant weight. More job specs now call for Type II by default, so check your site requirements before reordering Type I.

ANSI and OSHA Compliance

Every Pyramex hard hat we carry is manufactured to ANSI/ISEA Z89.1, the American National Standard for industrial head protection, and satisfies the head protection requirements OSHA sets out in 29 CFR 1926.100 for construction and 29 CFR 1910.135 for general industry. Type, class, manufacturer, and date of manufacture are marked inside each shell so you can verify compliance during an inspection. Keep in mind that hard hats have a service life: replace any shell after an impact, and follow the manufacturer's guidance on shell and suspension replacement intervals even for hats that look undamaged. Our resource library has additional compliance references for safety managers.

Accessories and Compatible Equipment

Pyramex hard hats accept a range of add-ons that let you build a complete head, face, and hearing protection system on a single platform. Slotted models accept cap-mounted earmuffs and face shields, and chin straps, sweatbands, winter liners, and replacement suspensions are available to keep hats in service longer. Browse the full head protection category to see what pairs with your shells, or check our line card for every brand we carry.

Custom Logos and Branded Hard Hats

We can add your company logo to Pyramex hard hats in-house. Branded head protection helps with site security, makes your crews visible to clients, and doubles as everyday marketing on active job sites. Minimums and lead times depend on the decoration method and quantity, so see our branding services and send us your artwork for a quote.
